LearningWorks assists clients with managing and improving BEE compliance within their supply chain.
To address Preferential Procurement and its complementary elements of Enterprise and Supplier Development (collectively referred to as ESD), LearningWorks provides a structured approach to E&SD to be implemented over an agreed timeframe. We will assist in building internal capacity, achieve the sub-minimum targets whilst driving transformation within your supply chain.
During the project phase we will analyse your supply chain and identify opportunities for improvement so that you meet your targets for all three ESD sub elements.
Enterprise Development
Enterprise Development is a contribution, both monetary and non-monetary, from any measured entity to either an Exempt Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) that has at least 51% black ownership. The purpose is to provide contributions to assist in the operating, financial and development towards business sustainability.
For Enterprise Development the target is 1% of Nett Profit After Tax (NPAT) for both Large Enterprises and QSEs.
This is dependent on the Sector Codes of the measured entity as some have different targets.
Supplier Development
Supplier Development contributions means monetary or non-monetary contributions carried out for the benefit of suppliers to the measured entity, with the objective of contributing to the development, sustainability, and financial and operational independence of those beneficiaries.
Supplier Development beneficiaries are suppliers that are Exempt Micro Enterprises and Qualifying Small Enterprises that are at least 51% black owned or at least 51% black women owned.
For Supplier Development the target is 2% of Nett Profit After Tax (NPAT) for Large Enterprises and 1% for QSEs.
This is dependent on the Sector Codes of the measured entity as some have different targets.
